Pupillage

We are not like other Chambers and life as a pupil with us is not easy. We expect you to work hard and in return we will ensure you receive the breadth and depth of experience needed for a successful career at the Criminal Bar.

Third Six Pupils

We are currently inviting applications for third six pupillage to start immediately in this busy criminal set.  We practice nationally, but pupils can expect to work primarily in London and the South East, and to be in court every day.

We are a friendly set and possess a firm commitment to equal opportunities.  Pupils can also expect to participate fully in chambers life.

A minimum monthly income is guaranteed.

Application is by way of CV and covering letter, and should be sent to patrick.maggs@15nbs.com.

What we offer

Pupillage at 15 New Bridge Street is divided into four periods of three months, each of which is spent with a different pupil supervisor. You will be expected to produce work for other members of Chambers throughout the year. You will receive informal feedback throughout your pupillage and formal feedback at the conclusion of each three-month period.

We are looking for the brightest graduates (from any university) to fill our pupillage places, but do not exclude anyone purely on the basis of their class of degree. We look for personality, all-round ability and commitment as well as considering your academic record. We are an equal opportunities employer.

How to apply

We offer up to two 12-month pupillages; Starting either April and or October. Chambers focuses on delivering a high standard of training and personal development and support.

All 12-month pupillages are offered by way of a non-OLPAS application form. The pupillages are, however, advertised on the OLPAS web site at http://www.pupillagegateway.com. The recruitment deadline procedure follows the OLPAS practice. Application forms can be downloaded using the links below and the closing date for applications is 5pm on 31st of May every year.
