Areas of Expertise

Crime is at the centre of our business. We appear all over the country, predominantly in the south east, and undertake both publicly and privately funded work. We have a large team of expert practitioners with extensive experience in the criminal courts at all levels of seniority in the prosecution and defence of criminal and regulatory charges. We handle a wide range of work up to the most complex of cases supported by up to date IT practices.

We act for clients who have been charged with or are being investigated for matters across the entire spectrum of criminal cases including:

  • Murder and manslaughter
  • Corporate killing/health and safety
  • Offences against the person
  • Sexual offences
  • Fraud
  • Money laundering
  • Confiscation proceedings
  • Drug trafficking and dealing offences

We have a strong prosecution team covering all levels of seniority. We are instructed on behalf of a number of prosecuting authorities including:

  • The Crown Prosecution Service
  • Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs
  • The Serious Fraud Office
  • The Independent Police Complaints Commission
  • The Department of Trade and Industry
  • The Department of Work and Pensions
  • The Health and Safety Executive

Regulatory work:

Members are regularly instructed to appear before disciplinary tribunals, including:

  • The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain
  • The General Medical Council
  • Lloyds of London Disciplinary Tribunal

Other areas of particular expertise include:

  • Civil Actions against the Police 
  • Licensing
  • Judicial Review
  • Mental Health Tribunals
  • Immigration Appeals Tribunals

A number of members are qualified to Chair Mental Health Tribunals and Asylum and Immigration Appeals Tribunals. Six members of Chambers sit as Recorders.
