Kyri Argyropoulis acts as junior counsel in nationally reported Manslaughter and Kidnapping caseKyri Argyropoulos acted as junior counsel in this nationally reported manslaughter and kidnapping case involving a Greek national. The defendant was accused of having posed as a bogus taxi driver in Wakefield, Yorkshire, and abducted a 20 year old girl in sight of her fiancée. She then fell or jumped from his moving vehicle and was fatally run over by an oncoming licensed taxi. Shortly after these events, the defendant left the jurisdiction and his mortgaged home. He was subsequently "interviewed" in Greece before being extradited to stand trial in England where he was initially unfit to plead but subsequently tried in October 2007. For further information
