Tim Bowden has recently finished acting in Operation Culloden; an investigation by the Metropolitan Police Special Casework Directorate Middlemarket Drugs Project. The case arose out of a surveillance operation with arrests made in July 2005.

The first defendant, Mr MLR, pleaded guilty to offences relating to the possession of drugs with a street value in excess of £0,5 million. His fourteen year prison term was upheld by the Court of Appeal. Mr MLR's wife Ms MMW was convicted of money laundering offences.

In the subsequent confiscation proceedings the couple were established to have benefitted by almost £2.2million and assets worth over £1.1million were ordered to be confiscated.

The operation also involved the prosecution of others for drugs supply and money laundering offences.
