"The Gumtree Killer" Kyri Argyropoulos acts in high profile murder case

Kyri Argyropoulos was again instructed in the case of CB who, having met a woman through the Gumtree website began a relationship with her. Soon after she went to his flat she was never seen again until her naked body was found in a suitcase (bought by the defendant) in a field in Kent.

Cell site, Oyster-card evidence together with banking evidence and extensive analysis of emails led the police to the defendant. It emerged that he had emptied the deceased's bank account after her death and spent some of the money entertaining another young lady at his flat whilst the deceased's body decomposed in his garage only a few yards away. So badly decomposed was the body that no cause of death could be ascertained however analysis of her stomach contents narrowed down the time of death.
