Soldier indicted on sex charges and represented by Justin Hugheston-Roberts acquitted by Oxford Jury

A serving soldier who was accused sexually assaulting a steward at a premier league football match in Reading in 2010 was acquitted by a jury at Oxford Crown Court.

The service man was said to have assaulted the female steward during the Swansea v Reading match in October last year.

The trial that lasted three days concluded on 5th August 2011 with the not guilty verdict and the observation of the Judge that the verdict was one that he endorsed.

Soldier ‘R' was represented by Justin Hugheston-Roberts.
