Kyri Argyropoulos & Beth Crocker’s clients avoid immediate custody in "Crash for Cash" fraudRepresenting FK and AB Kyri and Beth successfully argued that, despite the aggravating factors of the potential for serious injury and the drain on the NHS and legal system, their clients fell within the non-immediate custodial band of sentence. FK and AB had been involved with a gang (some of whom remain at large) who staged deliberate collisions with other drivers sometimes on Motorways. The car was usually driven by a ringleader. The owner and a friend would then claim compensation on behalf of the gang claiming the types of injury that would be hard to disprove yet would still attract substantial sums in compensation and the police are sufficiently concerned for the case to be mentioned on the Metropolitan Police website: See also: 12 October 2011 |
