Beth Crocker
2006
Beth primarily defends but is also instructed to prosecute. She has conducted Crown Court trials both alone and as junior and her work encompasses a wide range of offences including drugs offences, offences against the person, public order offences and fraud / dishonesty offences. Beth is experienced in work involving young offenders, handling trials involving difficult clients and young witnesses giving evidence by video-link. A winner of Middle Temple Monroe Memorial Debating Competition, Beth also volunteers annually for the National Schools Mock Trial Competition. Notable Cases: R v BL (2010) Multi-handed youth robbery. Case thrown out after successful half time submission. R v NB (2009) Trafficking women for the purposes of sexual exploitation. Led junior. R v DC (2009) Domestic Violence ABH. R v LS (2009) Possessing and using counterfeit currency. R v AG (2009) Incitement to commit ABH. R v A (2009) Large scale public order offence involving hammer attack. Led Junior. R v M (2008) £5 million heroin importation. Led Junior. R v GM (2008) Conducted the confiscation proceedings for the largest ever UK opium importation to date. News
