Margaret McGowan-Smyth

Margaret primarily defends but also receives instructions to prosecute. She has conducted numerous trials in the Crown Court including cases involving mentally unwell defendants and has appeared in the Court of Appeal. She has undertaken cases involving offences of violence, drugs, firearms and historic rape. She is regularly instructed to appear in Army Courts Martial in Germany and Northern Ireland. Margaret also sits frequently as the legal advisor to School Admission Appeal Panels.
