Mathew Turner

2003

Mathew undertakes both prosecution and defence work. He has been instructed in a wide range of cases, including those involving: serious violence; possession of weapons; witness intimidation; supply of Class A drugs; multi-handed robberies; threats to kill; kidnap and false imprisonment; public order; burglary and dishonesty offences; and driving cases including those where death has been caused.

Mathew has particular expertise and experience in restraint and confiscation matters.

  In a trial that centred on freedom of speech, Neil Mercer, Kyri Argyropoulos, Angelo Power, Sonal Dashani and Mathew Turner defended six Muslim protesters who had been vilified in the press for publicly, and contentiously, expressing their views.
