Patrick Moran
1997
Patrick both defends and prosecutes in criminal cases at all levels. He has appeared before the High Court, the Court of Appeal and the House of Lords (led). As well as defending in serious cases, he is on the Attorney-General's Unified List of Prosecution Counsel, and is instructed by a number of agencies including the C.P.S. Central Fraud Group and the Department for Work & Pensions. He has substantial experience in serious crime & regulatory matters, and particular expertise in: fraud, asset forfeiture, and powers of search and seizure. Patrick frequently advises in regulatory matters. He has advised "on the ground" in complex search and seizure operations, particularly those relating to V.A.T fraud investigations. He has also advised at the behest of the Independent Police Complaints Commission in relation to complaints arising from a large scale corruption / fraud investigation.
Patrick is a qualified advocacy teacher, and is a Team Trainer at Inner Temple. He has been a Committee Member of Amicus since 2002. News
