Patrick Upward QC

1972 (QC 1996)

Patrick is a specialist criminal practitioner with particular expertise in terrorist cases, white collar crime and serious criminal offences. Being a competent computer user he is regularly instructed to either prosecute or defend complicated white collar crime. He also prosecutes and defends cases involving drugs, murder and organised crime. 

Advocacy Training

Patrick was recently invited to deliver a lecture on advocacy to the mooting and mock trial students at the University of Hertfordshire Law School.

  Mr MB, defended by 15NBS barristers, was one of the men accused of organising terrorist training camps and activities in the Lake District and elsewhere in England and has been acquitted of all the charges which he faced.

• Drug trial collapses over Supergrass evidence
  Patrick Upward QC and Kyri Argyropoulos recently secured the acquittal of Mr MS on charges of conspiring to supply over 350kg of cocaine from Colombia via Spain Costa Rica, France and Jamaica.
